I have a smaller, lighter chair. Its failing is that it sinks into the ground when the ground is wet. Since I was expecting wet weather, I took the rocking chair, since that won't sink. At some point I may get another style of chair that both packs small and has rails along the bottom to keep it out of the soft ground. But for this particular camping weekend, which was also a music festival, the rocking chair was very comfy, and I don't regret taking it. On an actual tour where there was more bike riding than camping/sitting, I would not take the rocking chair.
