Decided to take my Cake out to my regular trail today with my friend who has a Prophet. As usual, him being a guy, he had to show me up a few times (good Lord, he has a Lefty!)

I let him get his satisfaction, considering this is MY trail, and he usually doesn't go on it. So here we are, really cranking it, I'm right on his tail. I let a little space form between us because he's kind of...well.....you know.......he's sporadic. Good thing I did because for some Godforsaken reason, he decides to stop to tell me something. But rather than move to the side, he turns his bike. I'm coming right at him, and I swear it was in slow motion, his face had formed a look of horror and I immediately demand my bike to stop. There was like 3 inches between us when I feel myself start to go over the bars. I stayed suspended in air balancing on my front tire long enough for his frightened face to turn to a smile. Then I slammed back down, hit the bar (owie!)

- my gosh it was just like a cartoon - and he had the nerve to call me "Miss heavy brake"! He said that's what I get for laughing at him when he forgot to unclip and tipped over. So all in all, Hayes 9 work pretty darn good. Just had to let you know.
