Is riding from a vacation home to a weekday home considered commuting? I think so, as Merriam-Webster defines "commute" as "to travel back and forth regularly (as between a suburb and a city)". I do go to my vacation home regularly, although not as regularly as I go to work.

Anyway, regardless of what you call it, tomorrow I'll be riding the 75 miles from my vacation home to my weekday home. It will be mostly downhill, since I'll be starting at 6000 feet elevation and ending at sea level. If I'm lucky, I might also even have a tailwind most of the way!
