I have Flickstands on a couple of bikes and they are great. They were made by Rhode Gear and are indeed out of production. I bought all that my LBS had but used them all over time. I still have one of the "fat tube" ATB Flickstands. I really wish somebody would pick them up and place them back into production. They come up on EBay occasionally, there are a couple currently, but at ~$40 "buy it now" a bit rich for my blood. There is a "modern" Flickstand sold but it is just a brake lever locking strap which does not keep the wheel straight like the old ones.
