Bikes: I don't own any bikes

Hi... welcome to the forum.

I am not familiar with Florida and its bike parks... I suspect a "black" diamond trail where you live might be more intermediate/beginner where I am.

That said, are you really interested in the sport? If so, I wouldn't buy a "big box" store bike; frankly they are very cheap and poorly put together and really won't last long unless you only plan to cruise along on smooth bike trails . Do you have any friends or acquaintenances that mountain bike? If so, check with them...maybe someone is buying up and has a lightly used good bike with decent components to buy. Those bikes are out there... just be patient and look.

I assume Florida has numerous bike shops... you need to research who has and specializes in mountain bikes and go there at least to get a feel for what is available and what size you need (assuming "s"). I shop might have some inforamtion about where you can get a decent bike...

Anyway good luck on your search.
