Ah yes, that part is tricky. I bought small L brackets from my local hardware store to mount the fenders. Here are a few pictures. The nice part with the L brackets, in particular on the front fork, is they push the fender stays far enough out that they don't interfere with the disk brake.

Ah that makes so much sense. How did you secure the front fender and rear to the frame as I cant get the screws to go more than half way in. Orbea are not making fitting the guards easy thats for sure ha ha. Thank you so much for you help its appreciated.
