In this context, "flexible" usually means that you can rotate your pelvis forward and flatten your back while maintaining a low road position. Rotating your pelvis brings the pelvic arch in contact with the saddle rather than the ischial tuberosities or intermediate structures. This greatly changes the saddle fit. Usually a narrower saddle with a different taper and roll-off is required.
