While I'm sure you know the difference between the terms accuracy and precision, it is mostly precision I care about. The accuracy part is just useful for posting to forums or trying to convince USAC coaches you can ride. I'd take a race result over a number from any device any day.
i typically find for instruments like power meters that precision without accuracy doesn't happen.

if you're using that tool for MLSS it could be interesting, but i'm guessing given the fact that you have schools evaluating your boy based on -- in theory -- actual lactate values (they do blood tests, right?), you maybe should care about accuracy in addition to precision.
