I bought this Cannondale Synapse from their Endurance line earlier this year and took it on a 600+mile cross country ride.

Its a great bike, rolls better than any bike I have ridden. It has disc brakes and 28 mm tires. It can easily be converted into a cross with some knobbies.
It's especially good with rough roads and suboptimal conditions.
