You can DIY orange peel the reflector with polyurethane spray. Don't spray directly, just let the mist settle on the reflector. Repeat if its not enough.
Interesting idea, but I'm thinking I would prefer to buy another reflector in case I decide I don't like the orange peel effect on this light.
