This tunnel is part of an abandoned stretch of PA Turnpike that is now an unimproved bike trail. It's over 1 mile long and completely dark. There is a crown near the eastern portal, which means when you are riding east you cannot see the light at the end until you get close to the eastern portal. Talk about scary. The area where this photo was taken was also used in the film "The Road," starring Viggo Mortensen.
