If OLD is wider with these hubs, you may need a crank swap or modification to achieve correct chain line, not to mention different dropout spacing. Is the frame steel?

I don't know about the 11, but the Nexus 3-speed has a fragile plastic "click-box" mounted on the axle. A derailleur guard is a must-have, IMO.
