Great tip!
A Dremel is a very useful tool to have.
I hate it when seatposts get gouged up. Usually that happens if they are a tight fit, and are forcibly rotated as they are raised and lowered. I prefer my seatposts to be not so tight a fit, so that they slide easily in and out of the seat tube, with grease. I'd file or ream out a seatpost if needed.
Agreed. It does take quite a bit of effort and back and forth rotation to get this
(the original) seatpost in and out. The flaw inside the seat tube seems quite odd to me. I wonder what would cause two raised rings.
