That's what I was trying to communicate when I say you don't need to be specific. For example you could just say you were from B.C. That tells me a lot. Your Canadian, it gives me an idea of the climatic conditions you face as a cyclist, etc. As Nathank said it just helps put things in perspective.
True enough...but some people don't want you to know that...I don't know I have been online for 15 years (bbs days anyone?) and privacy was a huge concern...to be able to profile someone because of their area can still be an invasion to some people
on one site I go into so much detail that if you know the layout of whistler you can more or less know where my house is
