Seems they have equal or better components to the Sport Disc for the same price range.

Do they have any Absolute 2.x models in stock? The PB I dealt with also didn't have the 1.5 in stock, but I had already ridden an Absolute 2.1 at a local Fuji dealer and loved it, so I knew that I liked the Absolute geometry. As far as I could tell, the differences were in components, not in things that would affect the fit of the bike to my body. So I was willing to buy a bike I hadn't ridden, knowing that I liked that line.

As for the 1.5 vs the 1.7, the trade-off looks like a carbon fork and better derailleurs vs. disc brakes. Since the 1.5 is the only bike I've owned, I can't say a lot about the comparison. But I can say that my rear derailleur (Deore) always shifts smoothly, while the front (Acera) is often a little clunky. I don't know whether that's due to a difference in the component level or just the nature of front derailleurs jumping ten teeth at a time rather than just a few teeth at a time.
