Not doing this right now, just raising the question should it become apparent that a replacement is needed the next time I remove my cassette.

I thought I remembered seeing a retrofit kit once, with small pieces of steel that could be inserted between some of the splines on an existing hub shell. Is such a thing not available anymore?
