The 30mm version works fine and allows full rotation on the 500 unit (hence my finger holding it in place).
Can't recall how much bigger the 510 and 520 units are, but not much. Should be able to get the larger 800/1000 units in there on the side.
EDIT - just looked up an image of the 520 beside a 500. Only a couple of mm difference. Good to go!
