You would think that the former would thread easily onto the latter.... But nooooo.... It goes on about a 3/4 of a turn and tightens up like it's not the right size.

Should I encourage it with a bit of force or is something wrong here? It is not cross threaded. It turns on easily and squarely.

Alright, after playing musical cogs with 3 different cogs and 2 different hubs, I decided the threading matched and gently encouraged it on.

I took it back off, look at everything and it's all fine. It went back on easier the 2nd time.

I think it is just tight because the plating on the EAI cog is also on the threads.
