Miyata Pro

Hi,

I picked up what I think is an early 80's Miyata Pro frame with the following specs and some questions:

1- Bottom bracket has 2 rows of 3 holes, total of 6 holes. Serial # is J376655 and stamped on the back of the bottom bracket is what I think is the size '58DD'. Frame measures 55cm from c-t-c.

2- Lugs have a crown type shape cutouts (or a curly 'M' or 'W' depending on your angle) on the top of the lug. On the inside or bottom part of the lugs, it has a circle cutout. Cutouts are painted gold. Fork blades have the reinforcing tangs with 3 hole cutouts.

3- Frame is setup for recessed brakes. Chain hanger bolt on rear stay. One pair of waterbottle bosses on the downtube. The shifter bosses are kind of strange. They are shorter than regular Campy bosses and have built in stopper. Are these Shimano specific shifter bosses? If so, which model/year?

4- Rear dropouts are short Shimano EF. Just like Campy 1010B's. Front dropouts are stamped 'Miyata'.

5- Frame tube sticker is gone. The only tube sticker are on the fork blades, 'Miyata Cr-Mo Chromium Molybdenum Complete Fork'. Frame does have the 'Miyata Industries Co, Ltd.' in black and chrome.

6- Seat binder bolt is not the regular one. The bolt part of is recessed into the seat lug.

Overall condition of the frame is ok. There are scratches here and there and some surface rust spots. I will like to have this frame painted or preferably powdercoated in the same original Miyata blue.

Price? Approx $175 in Ebay. Probably a little more but I really 'needed' this frame... as I have been wanting one since my college days. Many, many years ago...

Can anybody tell me what year is this frame from? And or any other details.

I will try to post photos later once I figure out how to downsize them.

Thanks
