From a post I read on here a few months ago, "Ti is around half the weight and half the strength of steel, aluminium is around a third of the weight, and a third of the strength of steel"

Therefore the ratio of weight-to-strength of Titanium but be slightly better, but for the same amount of material it is weaker.
