They went to braze ons in 1978. I remember this well, because I spent a lot of time ogling the catalog while saving paper route money for my first decent bike, which was a 78 Super Mirage. It had braze ons, while the neighbor kids 77 Grand Touring did not.
Anyhow, the Team Champion that year was made with Columbus tubing and Huret ends. So that's a good bet. IIRC a couple years later they were still columbus but they spec'd them with Campy ends.
