God, the big dog in the sky.

Off topic but curiosity .. where is Washington County? Notable cities/towns, mountains, rivers? I grew up and raced around Boston, loving the mountain races in Vermont. (Putney, Stowe) A year ago, I visited my old training partner in East Thetford. Brought back good memories, both of riding with her and racing in your state.

Hang in there with the rib. They do heal up, usually with no long term issues at all. Just not a whole lot of fun getting in the mean time. Advice here - tell your friends that jokes to cheer you up are not welcome (at all) and will relegate them to the s*** list. Take your allergy medications in advance. Consider setting up comfortable chairs as "beds" that you can get into and out of without rolling over. (I have had the couch and armchair in the livingroom set up to sleep on with pillows and blankets. I would sleep in the bed until it was roll over time, then get up and spend the rest of the night in the livingroom.)
