I assumed, I guess like you did at first, that the entire shape of the saddle needed to be press fit onto the leather blank. Apparently, with your clamp and wedge method, you form only a single compound radius with the pipe along the center of the leather blank. I'm assuming again that this shape, after being riveted onto the frame is all that is necessary. Do I have this right, or are other forming steps necessary after this one?
