Since you guys are talking about pets, it's that time of year when our house gets a little chilly and one of our cats and our dog get over their usual standoff and decide the warmth from cuddling is better than chasing each other in circles.
I used to hate cats, but my wife came as a package deal with 1 and we got another after moving in together. I'm lucky because both of them are completely friendly with all people. You can't get them to scratch you or bite you if you tried. Pick them up, stick your face in their belly, scratch them without looking for extended periods of time, all things most cats use as excuses to attack you. These guys just purr.
Still can't stand how the other long-haired one leaves little hairball presents in the most difficult to reach crevices of our house, though.
