Good point. The only thing is I don't know how smart it would be for me to try out different pressures. My body weight is outside the range where I can use a pressure below the tire recommended maximum. Does anyone have a good understanding of how serious those guide lines are ? I have previously used lower pressures when I have been too lazy to pump up before getting on my bike, and it didn't seem to do any harm but I guess doing that may make getting a puncture just a little more likely ?

I have dropped a few pounds recently but I'm still a little over 200 lbs. I'm not as fat as that makes me sound, by the way.
