Like others have said, I think that finding the root cause is key. Mark the relative orientation of the tube and tire when you take them off, so you can look at the particular spot on the tire that's associated with where the leak is. If you get a leak in the same spot next time, well, that's a clue that you missed something when you inspected the tire.
