The only thing I am seeing with the crank and other similar surfaces is the matte or flat surface seems to like dirt. You touch it and you can see it. Some armor all may take care of that problem. The bottom bracket on this bike is the BBR60, the Ultegra bracket.
Try LPS-1 on the exterior of components (avoid brake pads and rim surface!). LPS was developed for aviation. LPS-1 can be sprayed on a clean rag and wipe the components down. No oil or grease and dust and dirt will not stick. I have used it on high end camera bodies and even real expensive binoculars to protect from dust, skin oil, sweat and moisture. You might find it at an Ace or Lowes.
