OK, another thing like hairnets that really should be said is that was sparkly stuff was everywhere! Glitter tape, glitter grips, glitter seats, glitter streamers, glitter paint. Schwinn was a primary pusher of this look, but hardly the only one.
Benotto tape was in the 80s, I was there. It was imported and iridescent, not sparkly.
