Correct.
Zwift (What's new on Zwift 9/1 (v1.0.7001)):
Strava - New 'Virtual Ride' Category
We've teamed up with Strava to ensure that rides in the virtual world won't affect real world leaderboards. That's how we roll. It's a whole new game with separate leaderboards for 'virtual rides'. And very, very soon, that pesky time zone issue where rides don't show up in your activity feed right away will be a thing of the past. Your 'virtual rides' will show up in your time zone as you'd expect, when you did them. One last thing to note about 'virtual rides'. They will not count towards existing Strava challenges.
Auto Upload from Zwift to Strava
If you're on Strava, the easiest way to share your rides is to link your Strava account on your dashboard to auto-upload activities. You can also download FIT files here for all your activities and manually upload them to other sites.
Linking your Zwift and Strava Accounts
To link your account, make sure to log in to Strava on your browser first. Then go to your Dashboard go to Settings > Connections. From there you can link and unlink your Strava account.

Categorizing your Activities
There are many different types of virtual/smart trainers on the market, most of which give you the ability to 'virtually' ride anywhere in the world. Because these files contain real GPS and time data, they will match segments. Trainer rides are not the same as riding outdoors with traffic, road conditions, weather, etc. and because of this, we can't allow times from these activities on public segment leaderboards, nor can we allow the activities to be counted towards challenges (unless otherwise stated in the challenge rules).
Guidelines: Virtual trainer activities must use the sport type "Virtual Ride" or else they are subject to getting flagged.
