LOL, yeah, I remember those. I never liked wearing gloves much, partly for that reason.
My fave were those ones made entirely out of chamois leather, no crochet work, with a green felt strip on the palm. Can't recall the brand. We called the Eddy Merckx gloves 'cause he would often wear them.
