Regardless....
Most people don't care, but have you ever noticed how on knit shirts that have seams on the sides, after a few washes, the seam doesn't run straight down the side, they run sort of diagonal? Same with the seams with on a lot of jeans. Have you ever seen what happens to a tailored sportcoat that has been run through a washing machine? Like I said, most people don't care, and many probably don't even notice. It's not about whether they'll be unwearable, but if you pay $500 for a set of bibs because they fit well, you might not want them to hang on you like an old rugby shirt after a couple of washes.
Terrible analogies.
Tailored sportcoats are labelled as dry clean only so of course a washing machine will damage them.
Spandex is not labelled as dry clean only.
Even the ridiculously pretentious Swiss variety of spandex I might add.
And again you failed to address the fact that a huge % of forum members have been touting the fit and finish of Assos bibs while at the same time not following the care instructions and supposedly ruining them by washing them incorrectly.
How can these people be loving the fit of these for years if as you say they are destroying the fit in the washer?
