And again you failed to address the fact that a huge % of forum members have been touting the fit and finish of Assos bibs while at the same time not following the care instructions and supposedly ruining them by washing them incorrectly.
How can these people be loving the fit of these for years if as you say they are destroying the fit in the washer?
Next!
"Next?!" What is this, the DMV?
That wasn't an analogy, it was a different and admittedly more extreme example of a the same phenomenon described.
Whether a consumer believes something will be damaged or not isn't dependent on what a label says. The care labels only reflect the manufacturers' standards and expectations for the life of their products. For instance, Assos may have higher expectations of how their garments look and fit after five seasons of daily use than the folks who ignore the instructions expect. I think that's as much as one can conclude from the situation you describe.
