Even the Touring 2 isn't well geared: https://roadcyclinguk.com/gear/first...tVCkrseElJh.97 My first touring bike was the Cannondale T700. It had MTB gearing. IIRC, low gear was a 22x34. Loved, it especially since I carried a lot of weight on my first tour thanks a lot of camera equipment. Bike and gear weighed 90 lbs. according to a truck stop scale.
