PS - sorry for this extra reply, but your bike was definitely setup originally as touring for fenders. The rubber nipple shown in this picture is where the wire passed thru the frame - you can pop these out pretty easily with your fingernails to re-run a 18ga grey wire if you ever wanted to set it back opn
