I agree. I have rarely met a mechanic who won't share information and give helpful advice to someone who is genuinely interested. Local bike mechanics don't get the respect that they deserve! I have also taken some fresh-baked chocolate muffins to my LBS mechanics, after they have helped me solve problems. They are heroes in my book.

This forum is also a priceless learning tool. Whenever you are working on anything, do a search of the forums to get background info. This will almost always answer your questions, or at least point you in the right direction. Then if you still have specific questions, post them, and someone will always be here to help. I love this place.
