If we're talking Shimano, I think the new 11 speed groupsets are much nicer than the 10 speed ones... I had an Ultegra 6700 and switched to Dura Ace 9000 and the shifting is remarkably smoother. But then again, I went from Ultegra to Dura Ace (although I hear that Dura Ace 7900 wasn't much better).
