Scott,
The story about how I bought the Canyon frame is a crazy one. I originally ordered the electric version Canyon SLX frame set in the winter of '14 with the intention of putting Di2 on, but my contact at SRAM thought he could get a field test set up for it if I waited a bit. It took a while but this Spring he was able to build it up at work, SRAM HQ. What a cool place that is, like a big candy store!
Here are a couple of photos he took when he was building it up. Definitely worth the wait.
Different subject, I was in your part of the world this summer on Maui to do the Cycle to the Sun up Haleakala. Very cool event, the views on top are spectacular. My first race with the Canyon too.
