The common agreement is got to do something athletic hard in college. Rowing or cycling. So being in CO Springs (I worked there once) and racing against FLC - is a good thing for cycling.
But it is still a long shot. I was just excited about the nomination.
The junior (ex, I guess) who rode for us got a scholarship to fort lewis, but they wouldn't promise him he'd race his freshman year. He chose the ride for foundation, and then turned pro for champ-system. They folded this winter after his neo-pro season. I think he's back on Foundation for next year. I like the sport, but wouldn't want that for my kid.
