I didn't realize this was a "Fred thing." I have Raynaud's and wouldn't be riding in winter without them after going through months of trying gloves and riding in serious pain. If your hands are cold, get the Bar Mitts. They're way cheaper than buying expensive fancy gloves that probably won't work, which seems a lot more Fred-like to me.
