Yes, Miyata is a fraction the size it used to be, but I really thought it was still a company in the sense that it isn't just a name slapped on a bike.
I've read that Miyata bikes are still made in Japan.

Merida does(did?) Have a partial financial stake in Miyata, but the two companies have partnered up for distribution in the past too.

I didn't know they declined to sponsor LeMond.
