i think the second line of his quote is what pissed people off. it sure got my pissed. i think he got us all boiling cause he talks like he's some big shot expert on fatigued steel frames. sheldon rides a 1916 mead ranger! that thing is old! but it's steel, so you can keep riding it. in a couple of years that aluminum frame is going to need some replacing. i don't think that anyone can argue that aluminum is stronger than steel. if you look at most aluminum frames they don't weigh that much less than steel. the iro Jamie Roy aluminum frame weighs .1 pound less than the mark v! and it's not as strong.
aluminum doesn't rust, and that's all it's got going for it. but im sure 53-11 wont be riding in the rain anyway
