In watching the amount of time and energy to get our state's 3 foot law passed, how watered down the consequences are for a motorist who may violate it, and the concerted efforts, in many municipalities, against well designed bicycle infrastructure, I'm not going to hold my breath in seeing any more stout measures in making US motorists to change their driving habits and attitudes toward cyclists.

In the mean time, I'll just carry on as usual, and make myself as visible and as aware of my surroundings as possible.
