Certainly fine for you, and anyone else for that matter, to use the calendar related Pi Day. However the Pie Day here is a tradition started by several of the old timers from several years ago, and carried on by some of us. Which date brings you some satisfaction is fine. A long time member, that has
some serious health issues now, would post the Saturday, in September, that was to serve as a day to ride a minimum of 15 miles, and have a piece of Pie afterwards. A picture of your choice of Pie would then be posted here, for the others to ogle, and drool over. Blueberry was widely recognized as a favorite, (I'm a Key Lime Pie man, myself, mmmmm) and the source of many humorous posts about a region's blueberries and the quality of them. Some have argued for a banning of any use of a non-fruit filling in a ride's pie choice, (I say that is heresy, and none of their business, nyaaah, nyaaah, nyaaah.) We have now moved down some separate paths, some have left here, and some are in a different guise now. Such is life.....
There is a curmudgeon, that takes great pride in castigating us for mentioning Pie, or colonoscopies, or Club Tombay, etc. He may or may not give us an appearance, that matters not to many of us, at all. To each their own.
