In addition to being lighter,

the carbon rails are much more flexible, so there is actually a large difference (benefit) in ride quality.

OTOH, the 7mm x 9mm rails will not fit all seat posts,

and a well fitting SMP saddle is worth a weight penalty.


Sorry about your disease- it's progressive,

but generally not fatal.

I have drilled out plastic tire levers to save a few grams.
