Yes it is a bit of extra work. I have done it once and it was a bit of a pain. FYI, if you are going to download a route that someone else created and has sent you or download a route from a web site, don't save the file as a Route. Instead, save it as a Path. The difference is that, when saved as a Path, Cyclemeter will strip all the ride data from the file and just leave the GPS coordinates that creates the route. This is what will show up when you want to do this ride. When you are ready to do this ride, select the Path as your route and start the ride. When you save the ride at the end, Cyclemeter will save it as a New Route and place it in the Routes section. The original Path will still be in the Path section until you delete it.
