Going from 33mm deep aluminum to 52mm deep carbon wheels...what to expect?

I'm throwing around the idea of picking up a carbon bike like the Trek Domane or even Emonda. I haven't bought a complete bike in years as I generally buy the frame and parts separately, but this bike I will buy complete. I might swap the wheels that come with for something else so I've also been thinking of picking up a set of November Rails. November is coming out with a new Rail 52 that will work with tubeless, which I would like to try this year. Right now I'm using a set of Rolfs that weigh in about 1600 grams and are 33mm deep on my steel bike. They are fine wheels and I would not have an issue using them on a new bike, but carbon aero might be cool too. Plus, deeper wheels look awesome....there is always the bling factor to consider. Weights between the two sets are dang near identical, so it really comes down to aero advantage and any stiffness advantage to the carbon.

So, what kind of benefits would I see with a deeper carbon compared to the aluminum wheelset I'm currently using?
