Deeper wheels make more noise, right?

If they were truly more aero (in the real world) wouldn't they be QUIET? Like newer aerodynamic cars, which can not even hear breaking the wind? (Unlike myself- I make lots of noise when I break wind.)

So maybe in a wind tunnel, when the wind is coming from just a certain narrow range of angles, they're aero....but I'd think, when they're making noise, they're creating turbulence.....

I just don't see how something can be more aero, if it's making MORE wind noise.
most noise created by aero wheels is not from the wind. Aero wheels tend to amplify sounds(like an acoustic guitar) created by the hubs, brake pads, and tires contacting the road.
