High - normal means that when you release tension on the cable and place the shifter into the normal position the chain climbs back up onto the big front ring. It's a Suntour feature that's exactly opposite of every other FD manufacturer. But, there's a reason for this madness. Back in the days of stem mounted shifters if you pulled both levers all the way back you were in lowest gear. Both levers all the way up highest gear. I like it. Be good. Have fun.
