As far as the
original bike posted, 1.6 kg for the frame isn't bad for an aluminium frame... I think. Does that include the fork? Reading the Q&A, the bike is listed at 11 kilos, putting it at about 24.2 lbs. A little heavier than I would expect, but not too bad.
I think I would probably choose a spoked wheel instead.
The crankset can't be that bad. It appears to be a typical 130 bcd with a removable aluminum ring. Where does "vintage" come in?
I'm a bit mixed. I've been riding the same bike for the last 30+ years. But, perhaps a bike doesn't have to be a forever bike. Nonetheless you could think of this as having some of the basic building blocks which you could change out later if you wish.
You could also just buy the bare frame and build to your own specs.
