Very nice bike.
I was a retro roadie hanging out in the C&V crowd last time around. More props go to those without brifters, but the company is still great and you're still welcome to join (if I may speak for our ring-leader).
And a 34/29 is plenty for the DD. There is a point where lower gearing isn't getting you anything, even if you're gassed.
